My baby is 1 month

Liam... 1 month

I cant believe Liam is one month today! Its gone by so fast. Although all he does is eat, sleep and poop, he is so much fun. Not so much the last one! Heres a short list of our little ones personality so far.
*Hes a pretty good sleeper as long as he doesn't have drainage and can breath!
*He loves to smile and is fascinated with the ceiling and fans, I need to get one for his room
so he'll just lay down and stair at it!
*Our dog Kali loves him, she sneaks in as many kisses as she can until I realize what shes doing and he doesnt mind at all.
*Just started liking his swing! YAY!
*He falls asleep in the car, which is such a huge blessing for me :)
*He is a little pig, that boy can eat so much and he keeps it all down.
*And my favorite, but not at 3 am, he loves to be held and cuddled! Its hard to get things done when he just wants me to hold him, but I'm taking advantage while I can.

Thats all I can think of right now! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

He's here!

Liam Blake Thompson
born 11/26/09 at 2am
8lbs 3oz   19 inches long

Im so glad hes finally here. It was a really long hard labor. Heres the story...
I went in the morning of the 25th at 5:30am and my water had already broken so I was admitted around 7:30. I was having small contractions about every 5 mins and I got an epidural sometime that afternoon. (I cant remember when, I was concentrating on other things)... it was wonderful not being able to feel a thing after that! I was fully dilated to a 10 at 6:30 and started pushing around 7. I pushed for about 2 hours pretty regularly but he wasnt coming down like they were wanting. They had me rest for a little while and I started having horrible back labor and the epidural wasnt helping much with that. The anesthesiologist had to come in 3 times to give me more drugs since I was in so much pain. My doctor came in around 11pm and said that he could try to pull him out or get forceps to help or I could have a c-section. I was begging him for a c-section because I was so exhausted from pushing and wanted my back labor to stop. He had an emergency c-section before me, so I had to wait about another hour or so. Finally around 1am they numbed me all up and I was so tired that i passed out once I couldnt feel anything. They took me in around 1:30 and Liam was born at 2:00. The dr said that there was no way Liam would have been able to be born vaginally because my pelvis wasnt opening like it was supposed to. So good thing he didnt try to pull him out! We are now at home and doing well. Im sore, but am very glad that our little man is here and its over with! So far he is such a good baby and very content and alert.
This is my favorite picture of him...

35 weeks... 35 more days!

The countdown has officially begun
Im 35 weeks and am getting so ready for this little guy to come! Mainly so I can lay on my back comfortably again :) But we are SO excited that its so close!

Heres the 35 week tummy shot... I hate taking a bare belly picture, but my doctor told us to start doing it every week so we can see how big I get each week. He said we'll thank him later for the suggestion, but for now I don't like that I'll be getting bigger each week, and I dont care to document it :) But I know hes right. So you all get the pleasure of seeing my glorious tummy get bigger and bigger the next few weeks.

The nursery is coming along. I have all the clothes washed and hung up (and he has a lot of clothes), the crib is all put together, today I am repainting a changing table.. well im making chase do it :), and all thats left to do is to get the old crib we were going to use out of there and throw it away! The blanket that is on the crib is one that I made and its basically finished! I just have the tedious work of cutting the fabric and then washing it.
