I couldn't help but laugh when I looked back and saw Liam stiff as a board in his jacket. I bought it a little big so he can wear it for next year and I tried putting it on a couple of times and he just wouldn't have it so I would layer sweaters on him. Well, today is freezing so I forced him to wear it and by the look on his face he doesn't love it!

One year older..
& wiser too!
Our little man is growing up so fast! November 26th he turned one and we were actually in Florida for his birthday (pics to come) so we celebrated a few weeks early and had a combined party for Chase and Liam. My boys are getting old :) Heres a few pictures from the festivities...
The birthday boys
I didnt make a big deal about liams party, so I didnt buy any decorations. Well my mother in law went out shopping and found some Mickey Mouse stuff that she wanted to by (he loves him) so I figured I needed to make something. So I made a sign! I thought it turned out pretty cute for something done in 10 mins!
Cupcakes! And they were delicious!
Liam loved his cupcakes! He slowly tasted the frosting, but when he decided he wanted bigger bites he grabbed the whole cupcake and shoved it in his face! We got a cute video of it but its not on my computer.
My hubby making a wish!
Im so blessed to have these two in my life! I cant image life without them. They both can drive me crazy at times, but thats what keeps an exciting life!
Happy Birthday Chase and Liam!

11 months
Liam on Halloween as a snow Leopard. He wouldn't leave the hat on so this is the best I got!
11 months. I cant believe that he'll be one this month. I'm not ready. We'll be at DISNEY WORLD(!!!!!!!) for his birthday but we're celebrating before we leave with chases family. I still have to plan a party, which i keep procrastinating with and clean my house before we leave. I feel a little overwhelmed thinking of everything that needs to get done.
Highlights of my little man:
*he is fully walking now. He gets so excited that he'll try to run (but we're thankfully not to that point yet)
*Says "mama" "bam-pa" "uh oh" trys to say puppy but it comes out "pay"
*Loves Mickeys playhouse. He sits in his high chair and can watch it forever!
*I think hes getting his one year molars. He wont let me look or feel, but he constantly has his finger in his mouth and gagging himself. So im hoping its just teeth :)
*Still only has 1 tooth
*is fascinated with feet
*loves "this little piggy" song
*favorite foods- goldfish, pasta and grilled cheese sandwich.

Family photos
We havn't had any family photos taken since liam was born (i know, im bad) so I begged Chase to set up the tri-pod so we could get it done. My grandma is having her 90th birthday and all the grandkids needed to have a family photo so they can make a scrapbook for her, so it was a good excuse! Thought they turned out pretty good.
Im in love with this picture! Liam is the cutest baby (Im not bias at all!)

service isnt always easy!
Wow, am I glad this weekend is over! I dont feel like Ive had any quiet time. Friday was supposed to be a fun relaxing day of taking family pictures for a friend of ours, finishing mine and chases costumes and our wards halloween party! But, no. It ended up being the exact opposite of relaxing!
Since the dogs were already in my car I figured I could at least take them to a near by animal shop to get scanned for microchips. Surely they've got to have them! As I was driving I got a call from Chase asking what I did with the dogs. "well, Im driving down the road and the dogs are sitting on my lap:)" I get the dogs scanned... nothing. Great, now Im stuck with two dogs and I have no way of knowing who they belong to. So I took the dogs back to my house and put them in a pen that we have in our yard. I put boards around the areas that they could squeeze through and it was perfectly set up.
I told Chase to keep an eye on the dogs while I went to put up signs around the neighbor and pick Liam up from my mom. I must have only been gone for 45 mins and as I pulled closer to my house I see the pen is empty. I slowly start to panic, but was hopeful that chase was with them somewhere else. Nope, no chase, no dogs! I knocked on chases studio and kinda freaking out asked, "Where are the dogs?" Chase thinking I was kidding said "Funny," as he was looking at the cage his eyes were getting bigger. haha. I went to the cage and the dumb dogs dug a hole under my pen and were gone! Great. I took liam and walked around out neighborhood for a little while probably looking like a crazy lady yelling for these dogs. I called my sister freaking out and she thought it was funny that I lost the dogs and that they were even more lost now that they've been driving around in a car for a while. Not at all helpful for my guilt of losing them :)
After an hour passed I figured that the dogs were gone and since I just put signs up I didnt want some calling and my response being "well, I kinda lost them," so I went and took the signs down. Once I got home I put liam down for a nap and walked into my bathroom. There was a car slowing driving next to our fence and looking out the window were two dogs. Yep. Thats right, I just got back from taking signs down for dogs that were once lost that I found and were lost again. It was an older lady that randomly pulled into our drive way to see if they were our dogs. I told her my story, so she gave me back the dogs. I was kinda hoping she'd offer to take them until I found the owner. So since these dogs are escape artists I figured that i cant leave them outside and the only other place to put them was in our first bathroom. So, in they went. I really did not want to keep the dogs over night so I went back and put up the signs again! I was thinking i'd get a call from the owners earlier in the day once they noticed they were missing two dogs. Finally at 10:30 i got a call from the owners and they came to get them! So much for my relaxing day of halloween costumes and party!
Here are they are...
They were very sweet, but im so glad they're gone!

10 months
I feel like it was yesterday that I wrote about liam at 9 months. I dont like how fast this is going by! With my nieces and nephews, it never seemed to go by this fast. Sure, they looked bigger each time I saw them, but it never seemed to fly by.
I'm very tired so im going to try and remember things!
Liam has now started walking, well kinda. His record is 9 steps so far, which means my work outs have only begun. (i have a video but need chase to download it, sorry i dont know computers, crystal)
He says "ohhh" and makes the cutest face when saying it. I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet.
Kali and him love to chase each other.
He gets so excited when he sees his cousins.
I was in our front yard tonight and found this creepy thing. Chase was taking pictures and wanted to keep it in a jar so he can see what it is. I quickly declined having this thing inside my house. So chase posted a picture on facebook and found out its a jerusalem cricket. Seriously the creepiest cricket i've ever seen!

catching up'
I forgot to blog about liams 8 and 9 month achievements so here they are for my journaling purposes. I know those that aren't related to us could probably care less what hes doing! :)
9 months
-He'll hold on to the side of our bath tub or a small table and walk along it. (im not ready for this!)
-He wants anything and everything that Im eating. Its pretty cute, if im holding him he'll open his mouth and put it next to mine hoping that i'll give him the spoon full.
-Knows where his toy box is and will grab toys out of it. He'll sometimes get to top heavy and fall into the basket, but thats kinda funny.
-Can give high fives.. well more like a low fives, but we're getting there!
-Has a fetish for pulling hair. Mommy doesn't enjoy this new found talent!
-He used to do a fake laugh that sounds like a dolphin but quit doing it a few months ago, but he's starting to do that again! I finally caught it on camera.
- Loves music. He is his fathers child! If he hears it, theres dancing and banging on the drums.
8 months
-Pulls himself up on everything
-Says "baba" and "dada." What about mama, son?
-Waves hi, or has impeccable timing :)
-He smacks his lips when hes eating baby food.
-When he's in his bouncer he will lay his head on his arm and play with the spinning ball. Its the sweetest thing.
That's all that comes to mind right now. Its so fun to see him grow and change so fast. He has such a sweet personality and the biggest, cutest eyes I have ever seen and he's already using them to his advantage. We always say that he smiles with his eyes and they are irresistible! Daddy and I are in trouble!

family bonding
Chase and I have been hiking badger mountain everyday for about a week. The first time we took liam in a baby bjorn and it wasnt fun for liam, or chase. He was slowly sliding down chases back, and when we were done he was nearly on his butt. So we bought a hiking pack so we can take our little guy comfortably with us! He loves it. It has a padded chin rest/pillow that he loves to hit and sing. Its so cute so I had to take some pics. Sorry they were taken are my phone so they didnt turn out to be the best quality.

whirlwind of events
Alot has happened these past few weeks! It was a little crazy and I didnt take pictures of everything so I stoled pictures from my sister Valynn.
First off... Mike came home from his 2 year mission in Bolivia!
Everyone was so excited for him to be home that we made him a sign. The kids had fun decorating it.
My dad and mike. I have a picture of my mom hugging him too, but its on my camera still.
mom mike dad
On our way back to my parents house, I was following my parents and mike. Once we got to their house they stopped the car right when they pulled into the drive way and mike jumped out bare foot onto the grass. He hasnt walked barefoot in grass for two years! I dont think he has had his shoes on since he has been home unless hes leaving. After being released from a full time missionary, he decided to jump into the pool in his old suit.
My dad watching mike
The kids had fun being able to swim with mike the following days. Tyler was playing in the pool and some how broke his toe, so my sister took him to the ER and now he has a padded shoe :)
On Sunday, Mike had his homecoming talk. He did a great job, but you could tell that he hadn't spoken english for a while. He bore his testimony in Spanish, and I had no idea what he was saying but you could definitely feel the spirit. It is such a blessing to know that even though there may be a language barrier that you can still feel it and know of its truth.
We renting wave runners and had so much fun on them! It was really cold, so none of us wanted to tip over so we weren't being as crazy, but it was still a lot of fun playing in the water. I took my niece Kaitlyn out and she was a little scared, it was hilarious until she started squeezing the air out of me.
Wednesday night, we all went to the temple while my parents braved watching all the grandkids! It was the first time that we were able to all be there together and it was such an awesome experience to share that with all my siblings!
Welcome home mike! We love you!!
Secondly, Liam turned 7 months! (again my recent pictures are on my camera)
(he is the cutest baby ever)
Liam ...*bounces all the time! I love it though.
* loves to play in our entertainment center and bang on the wood. When I lay him on the floor he will automatically make his way over to it.
* I started giving him puffs and he now loves them... most the time.
* Loves fruit and some veggies, but hates the turkey or chicken baby food. I dont blame him, they smell disgusting.
* He has started to scoot to me and will grab my leg when he wants to be picked up
* loves playing in the pool. I have yet to actually "swim" with him since its been a little cold. But now that its 90+ outside Im sure it'll happen this week!
* Loves his uncle mikey!
Thats all I can think of right now! I have more to post, but we'll save that for another post!

Only one letter left..
I can not believe that my little/bigger then me, brother will be home in less then 2 weeks! I cant explain how extremely excited my whole family is! He is the baby and the only boy, so this was a first for all of us to have someone on a mission for 2 whole years. We've missed him like crazy and cant wait for his plane to land! Sunday, I wrote one of my last letters to him as a full time missionary! We only will have to write one more, and the next time we "communicate" with him will be in person. :)
One of our family friends is down in Bolivia doing some volunteer work, and ironically, she is in the same town as michael and is actually staying with one of their investigators! She was able to take some pictures of him and send them to us. Im so excited to see him! She said that he looks great and is an amazing missionary! We're so proud of him! Chase bet me that I'll cry at the airport, since my family can cry rather easily, but I am a tough cookie. However, I think I may loose this bet.
11 more days!

Watch out mom and dad, Im about to....
CRAWL!
(sorry the picture was taken on my camera phone which sucks)
Tonight Liam has been getting into the crawling position! I have a love/hate relationship to this new "trick" of his. While we were at my friends house today (whose baby started crawling a few weeks ago) liam decided to copy Spencer and look like he was crawling. I was shocked how many times he got into this position. I told them that we cant hang out with them anymore because my sister doesnt want him crawling for at least 3 weeks (she'll be here then!!!) and he picks up things fast from spencer! haha.... I was kidding ofcourse, but Im not sure if mommy is ready for a completely mobile baby. Looks like I'll be baby proofing my house this week. Yikes.....

262,800 minutes old
Thats half a year!
I can not believe my baby is 6 months old, time really does fly by when your having fun! Liam is such an awesome little boy! I love waking up everyday knowing that I get to spend the day with him. If im in a bad mood or had a hard day, hes one of the only people that can make me feel better! He has such a sweet smile, and uses it to his advantage! This little boy is a flirt, im afraid im going to have to put a leash on him at an early age.
Liam loves to grab his feet and he has found the joy of sucking on his toes. If he sees toes, he will suck on them. Last night I was laying down with my feet on Chase while he was holding Liam, and all of the sudden I felt a wet little mouth on my toe.
When I give him a bottle, he reaches up at my face and strokes my cheek or grabs it. Its not so sweet when I havnt cut his nails in a few days!
My mom bought him a jumper which he absolutely loves. The down side, whenever im holding him on my lap, he starts jumping. But its worth it when hes happy and Im able to get things done.
He rolls everywhere now. If he sees something, he is determined to get it. He also has been doing the "stink bug" and is getting good at getting up on his toes!
A couple of other things that he loves are, remotes (what is it with guys and remotes), and being outside.
memorial day weekend
I love memorial day for a few reasons! First of all, it lands on my birthday "week!" Yes, I started dedicating the whole week to me so that my husband will play with my hair (willingly) while he watches tv :), secondly my family is usually in town and we have a BBQ and then go put flowers on my brother and grandparents graves. This year, we went and saw a week old foal. A family friend of ours has horses and invited us to come see it. She was so cute, I wanted to bring her home with me.
We got to see our own little rodeo as he was trying to catch her.
Liam loved the horses. Most of the grandkids were able to sit on the mommy horse, but brennen isnt much of a "cowboy" and this is what he did...
